Zach has often conducted internal investigations on sensitive matters, working carefully to ensure complete investigations that can be relied upon. He is well-versed on corporate issues involving investigations as well as developing issues surrounding whistleblower protections under Sarbanes-Oxley, the SEC Act and confidentiality issues under the NLRA. He also has regularly supervised such investigations by other counsel and in-house personnel, relying on his expertise in legal ethics and the law of privilege initially gained through his tenure on the Ethics Committee of the D.C. Bar Association.
He has frequently lectured on ethical and practical issues arising from internal investigations in various forums, and has trained and assisted clients for many years on how to conduct investigations lawfully.
